About the world Ball

In Loving Memory of Paul Veerkamp
April 8, 1951 - May 18, 2014

Picture
Paul Veerkamp started collecting balls in his retirement and amassed a collection of more than 6,000 in a period of about 5 years before he died. He used some of these balls to create colorful sculptures, "put-togethers," and "ballscaping" at his home in Lawrence, KS. As he would say, this was not an obsession, but a "focus." Paul passed away this year after a struggle with cancer, and this site, which was his vision,  is a tribute to his creativity and spirit.

We are pleased to announce that Paul's art collection will be cared for and periodically exhibited by the Grassroots Art Center in Lucas, KS. Please contact them for more information.
